Community SchoolFriendly Education for Families |
We are here for the students.
Their wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do.
They are our passion, our challenge and our reward.
Families add richness and joy to the community.
The school can't live and breathe without them.
But this page is for our staff, who are here every day,
planning, working, giving, loving, creating, reflecting and working some more.
They are the glue.
Here is Fran Ryce. She keeps us forever optimistic and focused on what really matters. She has a long standing passion for education and community schools and has enormous faith in people. She doesn't usually dress up like a clown but she doesn't mind looking silly for the greater good, like in the Freo Festival Parade. Fran teaches the oldest group of students. |
This is Geraldine Stanton. She is school coordinator and teaches the middle group. Geraldine cares intensely about each student in her class and her creative program is a testimony to how well she knows her students. She has been involved with the school community since her grown up sons came here and we rely on her to help us keep in mind the original purpose of the school. |
Tom Francas has taught most classes at Kerry Street over the 11 years he has been here. He is currently teaching the Kindy/Pre-Primary children. Tom keeps us sane with his balance of humour and steadfastness and can often be found doing a jigsaw on the floor or kicking a football at lunchtime. Tom is able to make a fun day out of laying lawn in the Christmas holidays. He even plays in a band, who toured Europe in 2006/07. |
